CHIPOTLE TEMPEH RUB

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil of your choice

  • 1 tsp chipotle powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp lime juice 

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slice the tempeh into desired shape (e.g., strips or cubes).

  2. In a bowl, combine the cooking oil of your choice, chipotle powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add lime juice.

  3. Toss the sliced tempeh in the spice mixture until evenly coated.

  4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Place the tempeh in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
