Hawaiian Orange Glazed Tempeh

Step into this exotic flavour landscape and tell all your friends about it.

Serves: 6

Combine in a stainless steel or glass bowl:
12 oz tempeh, cut into 1"x2" slices, then cut through the thickness
3 Tbsp. tamari
3 Tbsp. arrowroot flour
Sauté in a medium skillet over medium-high heat:
3 Tbsp. oil (use more oil as needed)
the marinated tempeh

When tempeh pieces are browned on both sides, place in an oiled 10" square baking dish.
Combine in a small bowl
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. honey
1/4 cup of raisins
1 small onion, minced
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ginger
Pour over tempeh slices
Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, mixing halfway through cooking time.
Top with:
1/2 cup coconut
Brown in oven 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
